The Rampart Garden and the  Jardin
                        2019-2020

We have a small garden next to the house that was part of the the medieval town ramparts. It had once been well cared for but now needs attention

The old bassin was removed  and a new one put in together with traditonal stone covering

A parcel of land became available in the village below the house  and this is now our "jardin". Nature has ruled there for many years so this is the "grand" project

The first task in the Jardin was to remove an old bassin  and build a new one,  covering it in Faucon stone

I cleared a small part in the Autumn  for next  years vegetables and flowers and in the Spring 2020 we had the dead trees cut down and removed and Rudolph a local farmer ploughed the rest of the land in preparation for the orchard.

We harvested our vegetables and flowers in the Summer of 2020

Autumn of 2020 I learnt new skills such as tree-felling (the mistral winds had broken a tree in half so I was tidying it up) and log splitting

The cry in the first video was because the tree landed close to a new cherry tree we had just planted.........but no damage
